Below please find the design for your dining table and a quote to complete the project. The third image is a 3D model that you can rotate and zoom to see the design from every angle. Click to activate the model (often doesn’t work on a phone).
I modified the design slightly from the methods used in the YouTube video you sent. The folks in the video mitered the corners of their trestle legs at 45 degrees. This is a weak joint – something I don’t see holding up well long term in a dining table that is going to weigh a couple hundred pounds.
To add strength, the legs in this design use a saddle joint, creating a very strong base that will stand up over time. It isn’t shown in the model to keep the lines cleaner, but the thick squares of the legs are made of sandwiched 2x6s as in the design in the video.
Below please find the quote for your table. This an all inclusive number that includes pickup of your slabs, all aspects of construction and finishing, and delivery and setup of the completed table.
I expect to be able to get you on the schedule for a May build with delivery towards the end of May or the beginning of June.
I ask for a 50% deposit up front via either a check when I pick up the slabs or a digital transfer via Zelle.
